About Us

GT College of Arts and Science, with a vision of "Fitness for Purpose," was established in the year 1997 as an autonomous institution imparting quality education imbuing scientific and artistic knowledge to meet the needs of the current generation. GT College offers 32 Undergraduate Programmes, 12 Post Graduate Programmes, 8 Research Programmes, and one Integrated Programme. From a student strength of 623 in the academic year 2004-2005, the college has grown extensively in infrastructure, technical developments, and quality faculty to incorporate 8624 students in the year 2023-2024.

Teaching Learning and Evaluation @ GT College

The Learning Model of GT College of Arts and Science is the "Vision to Wisdom Approach." To augment this, the college has an Evolving Curriculum designed in line with UGC standards of the Choice Based Credit System. The College follows Knowledge-based Learning, Industry-Exposure & Training, and Capstone Evaluation Model, all linked with Outcome-based Education, enabling students to be job-ready upon completion of their degree.

24/7 Learning

GT College has enabled e-learning and m-learning facilities for students, including web-based learning, virtual classrooms, and digital collaboration. Students can log on to the virtual classroom (MyKlassroom) from the day of admission at GT College and learn their subjects 24/7. The college has the highest number of Google Classroom users worldwide.

Establishment

GT College of Arts and Science was established by the VLB Trust in 1997 and is a co-educational institution catering to the need of the day.

Quality Management System

After assessing the quality of education and infrastructure, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded 'A' grade in 2009 and re-accredited with 'A' in 2015 and 2023.
